For quite some time now, I have really enjoyed going out and shopping for antiques. Although I have tried, I honestly can’t remember what exactly it was that first made me give antique shopping a try. However, regardless of what it was that made me start shopping for antiques, once I started out, it was something that I did not want to quit doing.

There are actually a couple of reasons why I really enjoy to go shopping for antiques. The first reason that I enjoy this activity is what I like to call “the thrill of the hunt.” Whether I decide that I want to purchase a piece of antique jewelry or an old clock, once there is something that I want to find, “the thrill of the hunt” kicks in. When it comes to antiques, you never know what kind of amazing treasures you are going to find, so it’s an activity that is never dull or boring.

In addition to “the thrill of the hunt,” I also enjoy that antique shopping is a social activity. I have several friends who also enjoy this type of shopping, and it is something that allows us to have a great time together.
